OFFICIAL STATUS
Kensington School is a British school of long standing prestige both within Spain and abroad, recognised officially as a British school subject to British government legislation and regular inspections conducted under the auspices of the British Council in Spain. Kensington is a founder member, since 1978, of NABSS (The National Association of British Schools in Spain).
The official Spanish curriculum is subject to inspections undertaken by the educational department of the Madrid autonomous community regulated via Royal Decree 1110, 12th May 1978 ratified by Royal Decree, 28th May 1993 (BOE 23rd June 1993).
Kensington School is mixed, non-denominational and wholly independent, receiving subsidies from neither the British or Spanish governments.
