Rewarding Excellence in Pozuelo de Alarcón

On the 16th and 17th of December we had the pleasure to attend the ceremony of the Awards Reconocimiento a la  Excelencia y al Mérito Académico of 2020, celebrated in the MIRA Theatre in Pozuelo.

Every year the council of Pozuelo de Alarcón grants these awards to students from 6º E.P.  (Year 7) and 4º ESO, in order to recognize their talent, their spirit of achievement and their eagerness to work hard, also in the year of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Kensington School, the students that have been rewarded are: Carlos Berganza Carrasco, from Year 7, and Gabriela Pérez de Leja Sitjar, from 4º ESO, in the category of Academic Excellence; and, Cristina Martínez de la Casa Matilla, from Year 7, and África García-Pita Reda, from 4º ESO, in the category of Academic Merit. Unfortunately, África was confined at home on the day of the ceremony, and her prize was collected by Paloma López Rodrigo.

We would like to thank the local council for recognizing the students’ efforts, and above all, their enthusiasm and hard work; and to congratulate our award-winning students. We are very proud of you and of what you represent: a community of students that give their best and work hard to accomplish great things.
